Yes. But it may depend on what type of window you have. My hose vents through a screen. The vent set up (the panels) are vertical in my situation - on one side of a sliding window. The hose fits into the housing and vents through the screen. No problem.

There was no problem placing the exhaust in the window and not having to take the screen out. There might be a problem with older wooden windows with the screen closer to the inside of the frame.
