No, this unit does not have automatic evaporation. There is a Water Collection Tank that needs to be emptied when the LED display will show FL and the air conditioner will turn off until the tank is emptied. ^Daphane

I live in CT and have used this a/c for 2 years and I dont know how to empty the tank. Its a really great unit. I have other LG non-inverter portable a/cs and this is by far the best. Very quiet, especially on low or sleep mode. No noise when the compressor kicks on and off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The dehumidifier function is questionable for mine. I bought it last year and monitored the humidity level in the room, it never went down. In fact, it appeared to go up! I had LG out to look at the unit, they said they would get back in touch with me and never did. Very disappointed with the support. I just bought another brand today, pretty upset I wasted 700.00 last year.
