Testing it with a Mac usb charger and MacBook, it cannot pass power through the USB-C. It has two ports, which can allow power and video to be passed individually (e.g. when source does not provide power like a HDMI converter). Reddit comments make me believe it can provide video passthrough though, so you could daisy chain another monitor, but it would need to have it's own power source. I will try with a USB-C dock/dongle as I only have one port.

I kept my laptop plugged in the whole time I used with the monitor. It is really a great product and worked well for me while traveling and continuing my Controller work. Accountants need at least two screens at all times! That is why I purchased this.
