• Press 'Custom Set' on the keypad, then press 2 (for clock), then press 1 (for clock on)

• If you have the instructions it says time will go out of display after 5 minutes without activity, this is a Stand by mode/energy save thing. touch any button to exit stand by mode and reactivate display.

• The user guide says the time will only display for 5 mins after actively using the microwave.

• I talked with LG about this and they said it only stays on for five minutes when the stop button is pressed as an energy saving feature.
