QuestionInstead of over the range, I want to use this model as built in to wall with a LG oven underneath. It can vent into the wall void. will the venting allow for this ?

- Answer It is setup to vent in the room. But you can change it if you flip the blower around if you have a vent leading outside behind it. The directions come with the microwave to do this.

QuestionI bought LMV2031ST which is listed as having a "grill element". I do not see this addressed in the Owner's Manual & do not see any type of unit w/in the microwave that looks like a "grill element". Does this model have one & if so, how is it activated?

- Answer I am responding to "LG Answers" to my question. So the model is advertised as having a grill element & it does not, in fact have one. that is one of the reasons I chose this model. now what? uninstall it, return it, buy another, install the new one? Frustrating. w/s should be updated.

- Answer This prevents the food from being over cooked. I have notice food prepared in this type of microwave comes out much better than other models that do not have that feature

QuestionDoes the unit have a charcoal filter indicator light?

- Answer Not that I can see. It says however that if the unit is venting inside the charcoal filter needs to be changed every 6 - 12 month or more often depending on how much the vent is being used.

Questionwe just installed our new microwave a month ago and yesterday during use it just shut down and nothing worked. After 20 minutes it beeped and the clock was on again and it now works again. Could there be a reason for the shutdown or is it defective?

- Answer I can't urge you enough. Return before one year warranty is up. I had similar problem within two months of receipt and now it won't work at all. The display seemed faded and then completely blank.
