Questionmy over the oven micro model # LMV2083st IS NOT heating anything anymore. When trying to, there is a noise that is not normal, like it is straining. it will run and shutoff normally but no heat? Is it shot/ worth fixing ? Any help would be appreciated. TY

- Answer Hi dcon. We regret to read that your LG 2.0 cu.ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven, Model # LMV2031 is not heating at all. It could be that you have a defective magnetron, a defective diode or a defective high voltage capacitor. If the diode in your microwave becomes defective, your microwave will not heat and you will hear a buzzing or humming noise. A defective capacitor will also prevent the microwave from heating and will also cause the buzzing and humming noise. A defective magnetron is the third possible cause. The unit will need to be inspected to determine what the issue is and to give you an estimate for the cost of repair. You can contact our Support Representatives at (800) 243-0000 to get assistance setting up a repair service...^IFV

- Answer The smooth black isn't exactly high gloss,. nor is it flat matte finish. It closer to an egg shell (in paint terms).

- Answer that sort of depends on your backsplash and wall cabinets... standard is 18 inches but theres no real height, except that you dont want it too down because it might interfere with you pot and cooking and the heat

QuestionShould I repair it or buy new?My microwave went completely out about 3 weeks ago. After a couple of days it came back on and was ok for another week or so and went out again. I have put the circuit breaker on and off numerous times hoping that would bring it back but no luck. It is an over the counter Kenmore Manufactured Dec. 2011 and installed May 2012. Model #721.85032111. I am up North 3 + or - mo. a year. Is it worth repairing or should I buy a new one. Have been advised it is almost as much to repair as to replace it by my son. Help!

- Answer LG microwave comes with wall mount horizontal bar for bottom of microwave and thick paper template for vertical bolts into top of microwave. If you are not both back and arm strong you need to pay for BB installation. Installation is a two strong person project.
