• you have to be able to connect the sound bar to the tv and plug the power cable from the sound bar into an outlet. The sub woofer also needs to be plugged into an outlet, but picks up the signal from the sound bar so it's in sync with the sound bar.

• There are TWO connection cords ( standard ELECTRICAL OUTLETS) one for the SOUNDBAR and one for the SUB. any other connections are only for the sound source TV,STEREO ECT...

• Subwoofer has to be near an outlet, or use an extension cord. Not sure how far away it can be placed

• it is universal so you can use whatever source you like to power the bar. I am using my tv direct to power mine, I have a 3.5mm output and I am going direct to the 3.5mm on the sound bar, You also can power it from the source (xbox/ps4/cable box) via an optical cable
