Yes washer does require a hot water connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We are using a\separate hot and cold waterhose outlets connected to the unit. I don't know if it could also run on just 'cold', i.e. one hose, if cold washing would be acceptable to you. I don't know if you then would just shut off the hot side of the two hoses or if both hoses would be required. I would put the question directly to the manufacturer, i. e. LG.
