“Out of 300+ installs on microwaves, there is always a number from bottom of upper cabinet to the mounting bracket. This is the first one that does not give me this dimension. New counter top goes in, then tile backsplash...need dimension for bracket.”

I cant believe the answer given by LG didn't answer the question at all. It's less than 17 inches. Even thought the height reads as 17.8, the back size is more than an inch less than that.

Include with the accessories for the microwave oven is an Upper Cabinet Template and a Rear Wall Template. A minimum installation clearance of 30" is recommended from the bottom of the upper cabinet to the cooking surface or countertop before installing the microwave oven. That means the minimum height from the bottom of the microwave to the cooktop surface or countertop after the microwave is installed should be a minimum of 12.28"...^IFV
