The dryer of this unit is a ventless dryer. Basically the drum heats up as the clothes are tumbled. This causes the water on the clothes to evaporate and the machine collects this moisture and periodically pumps it out. So you will hear water sounds periodically throughout the drying cycle. The good part of this is there is no need for a vent. The downside is that it can take longer to dry clothes. I also recommend using liquid fabric softener as this method of drying can cause more wrinkles and the fabric softener will help them fall out with immediate removal at the end of the drying cycle and shaking (to a snap) the clothing.
