• Hi Kb. Neither the LG 200.2 Sq. Ft. 8,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP0817WSR nor any of our Air Conditioners require or use water to cool. Like a Refrigerator, they all use refrigerant to cool. This unit use the R410A refrigerant...^IFV
