• The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 21.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFCS22520S has a factory installed automatic ice maker that has a power switch on it. Make sure that the power switch is set to on. It takes about 12 to 24 hours for a newly installed refrigerator to begin making ice. The first ice produced may include particles or odor from the water supply line or the water tank. Throw away the first few batches of ice (about 24 cubes). This is also necessary if the refrigerator has not been used for a long time...^IFV

• You need to connect a water line to it. Most homes built in the last 30 years have a water outlet in the wall behind your fridge. A plumber or handyman can install the correct piping to add a filter and water run to the refrigerator. With a little advice from an employee at the local hardware store, I was able to install this on my own.
