The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 22 cu. ft. Ultra Capacity Side-by-Side Counter-Depth Refrigerator with Ice & Water Dispenser, Model # LSXC22336S, has coils at the bottom in the back of the refrigerator that help expelling the heat. When the coolant in the refrigerator is squeezed by the motor and compressor, it turns into a gas which heats up under the pressurization and when that gas is passed through the coils in the back of the refrigerator, the heat is transferred into the cooler air in your kitchen. As that gas loses its heat, it turns back into a liquid which then flows through an expansion valve and repeats the whole process over again. The coils go through the freezer and the refrigerator where the colder liquid in the coil absorbs the heat out of the compartments and your stored food making them cold...^IFV
