“The regular ice maker (the one inside the door) makes ice but it doesn’t release the ice into the ice bin (inside the door). I tested the motor by pushing the little button , the ice tray seems to turn fine. What else can I do?”

I have found that I can open that door and lightly rap on the ice maker to break the ice apart a little- it always works for us and doesn’t happen often

Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Counter-Depth Refrigerator with Craft Ice™ Maker, Model # LRFXC2416S is working, but the ice maker is not harvesting ice, try grasping the ice maker and shaking it up and down firmly, but gently a few times. If after 4-6 hours it is still not harvesting ice, it will require repair service...^Ivan
