Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator , Model # LBC24360SW has no crank mechanism and its piston is oscillated by linear motor and helical coil spring. Due to the simple mechanism, its mechanical loss is much less than conventional crank driven compressors. • Using the moving magnet type linear oscillating motor, its motor efficiency goes more than 90%. • With simple electronics, cooling capacity could be modulated to get better system efficiency. The LG linear compressor is 20~ 30% more efficient than most efficient current crank driven compressors...^IFV

- Answer The LG 24 cu. ft. Large Capacity Swing Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator, Model # LBC24360ST has to be connected to a water supply for the Ice Maker in the Freezer Room to produce ice, other wise it does not require a water line for anything else...^IFV

- Answer This unit has both a bottom drawer, love it. It has easier access than the door and you do not have to scrunch down as much. The sides of this model and nearly ever other model we looked at are grey. Thought it might look hokey with our other appliances that are stainless with black trim... not at all.
