No, refrigerators in an RV are designed to work from different sources of refrigeration. IE: When your on the road off the power grid LP gas can be used in a RV fridge to keep it cold. With a generator or on the power grid it can use the 110v power. RV models are also designed for the variability of a generators power output. If you really want a unit to work properly you need a dual cool RV unit that can use LP and power to chill your refrigerator.
