A:AnswerContacted LG and they sent Technician. The first thing he did was open the water filter compartment and what he found was that there is no filter but a bye pass attachment. Where houses have there own filter system then one does not need a water filter in the refrigerator so one can attach the buy pass attachment. So I contacted Best Buy and they apologized for the inconvenience. I went and got a water filter (no charge) and attached it in the filter compartment. Now the water is fine and working perfectly. As I was new to this type of refrigerators assumed that everything comes attached. The people who came to install did not also check. So folks request the installers to open and check these items. The fridge
is so far running good.

A:AnswerI prefer the LG to the Samsung because of the location of the icemaker. The Samsung's icemaker takes up half of an upper shelve and I've heard that the ice can take on flavor from food in the fridge.
