“Just bought this refrigerator. The installer put in the water filter, but, ran the recommended 4-gal of water, it doesn't seem to be filtering the water, which has a "medicine" taste. We live in an area with hard water, so we do have a water softener”

Maybe it's your water? I am only using what came with the fridge but have ordered an additional filter that I saw on Shark Tank that is manufactured according to your zip code. I haven't been able to have it installed yet, but I am very happy with the quality of water we are getting without it.

Please try again later.Hello, I have had this refrigerator for about a month now and it takes more like 10 gallons to remove the taste, and also I would recommend actually running a 3/8 inch water line to the refrigerator to add more pressure. This is better than just using the self tap kits from Lowes or Home Depot.
