• No. The ice is on the top part of the refrigerator which drops to the dispenser on the door. To save more than the small amount reserved in the door, you have to take the ice from the top bin to put into the freezer section in the designated bin. Not a huge problem except I forget to do this and do t have a reserve of ice. If you open the left door often, be careful to. Or leave the door open too long because the top ice container melts a bit and the ice bin gets blocked. Throw away that container and it just starts again.
