• Yes. I was thinking about purchasing one to insure that this TV volume would be loud enough due to hearing issues and looked at a couple recommended by the sales agent, but decided to try the TV 1st. The Volume and clarity of sound was much better than my other 2 TV's and found that with this (LG Brand) TV that it wasn't even needed.

• Yes, I have a Vizio sound bar with a subwoofer and two speakers hooked up to it. It has an optical jack, audio jacks and hdmi. It has more hdmi jacks than most televisions.
