• That depends. There is an HDMI and a 75 ohm connector. Both would plug into a cable box. If you just want to run a cable from the TV to the wall without a box, it may work if your cable system allows reception via a 75 ohm cable without a box. Most don't.

• Yes, if using it at a college where a cable box is usually not needed. Otherwise you use a cable box with a hdmi cable or coaxle cable
