I don't have Dish. Was simple to hook up to Directv.

Locate the HDMI output on your DISH cable box. 4. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the cable box's HDMI output. 5. Turn on your TV and use your remote to select the HDMI input. 6. Turn on your DISH cable box. 7. You should now see your cable programming on your TV.
