“We have a built-in TV stand that is high on the wall. The problem we have with the TV we have there is that when you are lying on the couch below it, the picture becomes "Negative". Does this TV do that when not directly eye level?”

All LED/LCD screen have screen uniformity issues. There have been great advances in the screen technology, however. The sweet spot will forever be eye-level center of the couch but off-screen viewing has become a more positive experience. The picture shouldn't become "negative" compared to older models but you would still notice some picture degradation but not as bad as in past TVs. If there is a way, to tilt the TV that would better the picture experience. Maybe mounting the TV on the wall, that way you can tilt the TV towards our viewing angle. G'Luck!
