“Does this tv have to have the stand or will it stand alone? Where are the speakers located?”

• If you don't use the stand I think you would have to mount it to a wall mount or something. It won't stand by itself. The speakers are downwards firing on both sides of the bottom edge.

• The TV does have s stand and you just have to put the stand into the bottom of the TV. using your hands. My Time Warner technician did that for me when he came yesterday to set it up. Also, you do need that stand for the TV to stand up . Reading all the reviews and all the questions and answers before purchasing this TV, I believe it was stated that the speakers are on the bottom of the TV.
