“Can you permanently disable the Extra Dry function? I'm hoping there is an option to do this! I am tired of having to turn it off every time after I switch from one mode to another. It would be nice to just turn it off forever! Thank you.”

Sorry I haven't really paid to much attention. But I do know I don't hit the extra dry button. The only button I hit is the Normal button.

While you can turn off the Extra Dry option before each cycle, there does not seem to be a way to permanently disable this function on the dishwasher. The best you can do is remember to deselect it every time you run a wash cycle if you do not want to use the extra drying.
