The LG 24" Class Full HD IPS Dual HDMI LED Monitor (23.8" Diagonal), Model # 24MP59HT-P has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 @ 75 Hz. It has 2 x HDMI ports and a D-Sub port for connectivity. The issue that you are describing is a Macbook issue and you may want to check the Mac forums for people who have experienced the same issue. Some Macbooks don't give the option of 1920 x 1080 when plugged in using some cables ((predominantly HDMI) and cap out at a lower resolution. Suggestions are to use an "underscan" slider in the System Preferences > Displays that appears on the second monitor and slide this to reduce the image size...^IFV
