    • Answer Thought I just answered it. Open box means appliance is on display in store. And that's the one being sold. It could be the last one made with a certain finish and was on display so customers can check it out and compare with other models or brands. At some point store decides to sell these models. Exterior could have nicks, scratches, etc. Check with sales rep about warranties on the open box items. And there could be another reason why this one is being sold as open box.
