Hi Steve. There may be several factors at work that keep the doors on this LG Black Stainless Steel Series 25 cu.ft. Mega Capacity 3-Door French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFCS25426D closed. Regrettably, we do not have access to the service manual to see how the door is constructed to give you an accurate accounting for how they stay closed. However, it might help to know that the doors are designed in such a way that the inner faces of the doors meet exactly and that the unit has to be level and gravity will help to keep the door shut. There may be magnetic strips in the doors that ensure an airtight seal of the door seal and that helps with the other factor that helps to keep the doors shut which has more to do with physics than the door mechanics. Refrigeratyor are obviously full of cold air, and when you open the door and some of the cold air escapes out and is re[laced with some warmer air. Warm air has a greater volume than cold air, and when the door is closed and the warm air which has a greater volume cools and shrinks in volume. This causes the suction against the door seal which can sometimes make it hard to open the door. After a short while, the external and internal air pressure equalizes through the not so perfect door seal, allowing the door to open easily...^IFV
