How noisy is it, compared to older friges? null

This unit features LoDecibel™ Quiet Operation which, we do not have an exact decibel number, but it is comparable to the same decibel as library noise which on average is around 40 decibels. This number can vary due to the installation as well as the home acoustics. ^Daphane

It is by far the quietest refrigerator we have ever owned! You don’t even know it is running and I have yet to hear the ice dropping into the bin.

So Quiet! More quiet than previous LG.

It’s only loud when making ice which is hardly ever because the ice machine is really small.
