I had the same issue where there was no water in the ice tray. I found a video on LG’s website that showed a manual reset process for the ice maker. There is a small button under the ice maker, below the power switch. If you hold that button in for about 3 seconds it will start the motor that turns the tray upside down, like it will when it’s dropping ice cubes into the container. After it rotated the tray I finally heard the water turn on and it filled the tray and started making ice.

Keeping the ice maker on in the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG InstaView™ Door-in-Door® 27.8 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator - Stainless Steel, Model # LMXS28596S before connecting the water line or if it is not connected will damage it so check to make sure that the delivery team did not leave the power switch on the ice maker in the OFF (O) position...^IFV
