Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am confused, the description says it has wifi, the person above Georgia 21 says it has 5MHz-yet LG you are saying it doesn't?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this TV supports 5 GHz. However, I couldn't make a speed test with it as my test files with fixed bitrates are all H.265 video, which this TV doesn't support. I let my server transcode a 90 Mbps file and the video stuttered. However, since it was being transcoded I can't say for certain what bitrate was being sent to the TV. Assuming the video was still being sent at the same bitrate, then there's likely a limitation of the TV hardware for high bitrate video. That would make the need for a higher speed connection unnecessary. From the slight sluggishness I notice in the settings menu, I think it's highly likely to be true. I have a 4K LG TV that displays no such sluggishness. It too supports 5 GHz WiFi, but I have it connected with an Ethernet cable. Since the only reason for the connection is firmware updates (I use an Nvidia Shield and Roku Ultra for any other streaming) higher speed isn't a necessity.
