“I am setting this tv up for an off tge grid cabin with no internet or cell service. I will hook up a dvd player, but also wonder if there is a way to watch downloaded movies from apps, that are on my ipad iphone, and watch them on the tv? Cord? Thanks”

Make sure to use the correct adapter - Lightning to HDMI for iPad and USB-C to HDMI for newer iPhone models. Adapter: If your TV doesn't have an HDMI port, use a compatible adapter for the available ports on your TV and your Apple device. Never streamed from my phone but I found this on the net "The screen-sharing function allows you to mirror your smartphone screens and sound on your TV wirelessly. You can enjoy them on the big screen of your TV. If you have a smartphone that supports screen sharing, you can stream the screen to your TV without any cables.Oct 21, 2023"
