NFC means near field communication.

NFC is short for Near-field communication which is a set of communication protocols that enable two electronic devices, one of which is usually a portable device such as a smartphone, to establish communication by bringing them within 4 cm (1.6 in) of each other. The NFC Tag On function on this oven allows you to conveniently use the LG Smart Oven application to communicate with your appliance right from your own smart phone. The NFC Tag On function can only be used with smart phones equipped with the NFC function and based on the Android operating system (OS).
