The conventional wisdom on which type of oven will broil and brown your dishes better is that an electric oven will do it better due to it's even distribution of heat, but with advancements in top brands like the LG Gas ranges that broil extremely well, it really comes down to your comfort level with the unit. Some people find it easier to control the temperature more precisely on a Gas Range versus an Electric Range. Ranges with a convection oven will broil best since they fully envelope the food with heat...IFV
