I researched it online and found there is a way but you have to get inside and physically adjust the electronics, so we decided not to do it in case it would void the warranty. It was messing with our wifi, especially me for work, so I went to a wired connection to the router for my work computer.

Yes, the ThinQ Wi-Fi feature can be turned off if you'd prefer not to use the connected capabilities.
