• Yep! I tried it myself... I hooked up a 1990's era Technic's dual cassette deck. I hooked it up through the RCA AUX jacks and it worked great!

• It is possible that the AUX connection in the back is actually an RCA connection, but don't quote me on that. It does not take a single AUX cable but it has connectors for the red and white cable (which is an RCA minus the yellow). I highly doubt it will work with a USB converter cable using the USB ports.
