• HDMI cables give the tv a way better quality picture. HDMI cables aren't that expensive. I think u should get one if you can.

• Hi Madeline, yes, buying the TV is enough. However, if you want to watch local television channels, then you would need an antenna. Also, if you want to watch cable, then you'll need cable service, box, and wires that come with the service hooked up. Lastly, if you want to stream movies from the internet, then this is what HDMI cables are for. Right now, I have no cables or wires hooked up to the TV, just a streaming service, and all is fine! Hope this helps.
