• This TV does have something called LG Free channels. Not sure if that's the same thing. I've attached a pic of the app.

• Yes! As long as you have an internet connection there are free channel apps that come with the TV. You can also install an HDMI antenna to the RF port to get local broadcast channels like you would with older TV models.
