“The ice maker makes ice faster that I can use can I turn the icemaker off when the bucket is full without damaging the motor, or will the ice maker automatically turn off when the bucket is full. Is there a sensor that does that.”

The Ice Maker also has a Power Switch on it that you can use to turn the ice maker off. The ice bin should be emptied any time the ice maker power button is turned to the OFF mode. Ice cubes which are stored in the ice bin for a long time may clump together and be difficult to separate. If this happens, empty the ice bin completely and clean it before reinstalling it...^IFV
