• The cable that comes with MacBook is only for charging .. u need to go get another usb type c cable

• You need to purchase a USB C ThunderBolt 3 cable. the one that came with your Mac Book Pro is only for charging and slow data transfer without support for video transfer. Beware USB C ThunderBolt 3 cable length should be less than 1 meter
