Yes, you can split screen. You will need to install the LG software that gives you multiple screen options. I didn't care for the software so I just used windows 10 snap to window function. FYI...3 Word documents can be displayed across the monitor at 100% zoom. Multi tasking is much easier with this monitor.

Yes. Download the app from lg.com. It can be split in multiple ways. Including 4 way.
