    • Answer Life is Not Good. LNG. Purchased this unit a few months ago and was also surprised that their are no humidity controls on said vegetable/fruit bins. Have been losing vegetables because of the lack of control. Who ever heard of a higher-end unit not having humidity control at the bin level. The owners manual indicates that certain models don't have them. But who reads the owners manual prior to purchasing? I also purchased online, so did not realize this until it was installed and obviously was too late. Disappointed in LG.

    • Answer Hi there! Thanks for reaching out with your question. Yes, based on Owner's manual page 30, you can turn off the second ice maker in the drawer. If you're referring to the Craft Ice maker, you can simply press the Craft Ice button repeatedly to cycle through the settings and select the "OFF" mode. After selecting OFF, the Craft Ice icemaker will be turned off. Additionally, for the In-Door Ice maker, you can press and hold the "In-Door Ice" button for about three seconds to toggle the icemaker on or off. The 31" measurement for the depth that you are referencing is the depth of the refrigerator with the handles (actual depth with handles is 31 5/8"). The refrigerator has a depth of 24 3/4'' without the door and handles, which is the depth of its case. The stated "counter-depth" measurement for Counter Depth refrigerators typically refers to the depth of the refrigerator case (box) only, excluding the doors and handles. The case for Counter Depth refrigerators is usually around 24 inches. This matches the standard depth of kitchen base cabinets so that the main body sits flush. It has a depth of 31 5/8" with the doors and handles because the refrigerator doors require room to swing open, so they must stick out past your countertops...^Ivan.
