- Answer Yes, this monitor works with the Nvidia video card, but because the auto sync feature can not be used, there is a loss of functionality.

QuestionCan you remove the attached mount and put your own in? Does it work with a traditional mount if so?

- Answer You can remove the attached mount. In fact, it comes unattached. The mount foundation on the rear is sized for standard mounts. I travel a lot, and every three weeks in my hotel, I disassemble the monitor and box it back up to store in my second car for a week back home. So, it is easy to remove (no tools necessary).

QuestionIs the USBC port a separate video input from the display port? In other words, does this monitor have 4 independent video inputs? Thunderbolt/USBC, Displayport, HDMI 1, HDMI 2?

- Answer It has four inputs: One USBC One Displayport HDMI 1 and 2 I connected my 2014 MacBook Pro to the DisplayPort using an adaptor from my thunderbolt port, and it works fantastically. I was somewhat surprised that the 2014 computer could drive my internal retina display at max resolution and simultaneously support the UltraWide at full resolution. I don't play games on the system, so I'm not user how it would perform for high frame-rates, but for my kind of productivity work, it is just a great combination.

- Answer I use this monitor to replace two 27 inch montors. You will need a mighty big space to have a 2nd monitor up, but if you have the capacity within your system for 2 then yes.

- Answer Yes, a video game system can be connected to the monitor via HDMI. On a technical level, gaming monitors will give you a sharper, faster experience. A TV won't offer you the same response time as you'll get from a monitor, nor will it have as little input lag. ^CP

- Answer Don't know for sure, but I have to believe based on the fact that my 2014 MacBook pro (fully decked-out) does fantastic with built-in screen at max res and the 38UC at max res that your 2017 would at least drive two of them if you didn't use your MacBook screen and maybe all 3. But I don't know for sure.
