“Cutting the drain hose to get the dryer to work We're about to buy this machine. I've read that drain hose needs to go to a floor drain or low placed drain pipe for the dryer to function. Our drain pipe is a few inches lower than the machine (couldn't get our plumber to place it lower due to code, and we couldn't install a floor drain). If we cut the drain hose so that it's just going downward directly into the drain (adding an adapter for the drain pipe connection), will this solve the issue? Or do we need to raise the machine via a pedestal or whatever means we have to raise it?”
