I had the same thing and bought this washer/dryer. Instillation was a snap. The delivery men were very professional and went through everything with me before they left. I LOVE my LG. No more changing loads and forgetting to put clothes in the dryer, just set it and walk away. (The only negative is that it doesn't fold the clothes!) Life is good. (LG) I am in the process of looking at other LG appliances.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We've had the machine 4-8 weeks, using it every day. I put some serious thought into moving it up to a second floor closet conversion to laundry. (We have opted against doing this because the machine solved our laundry back up challenges.) The one thing to consider is lint in the drain. Ours generates a good tablespoon plus with every load. What used to get blown through the dryer now goes down the drain. We do have a short haired dog that seems to be half of the lint. I've taken a large mesh kitchen sifter and left it in the utility sink for this purpose. In the event we moved the machine upstairs, I did find a product called a filtrol to catch washer lint. I also thought of a cheaper rigged set up too. It would probably be fine without it. I know exactly how big the drain pipes are, and it would just share a drain with a bathroom sink. But we have an old house, and old pipes, and the last thing I want is a second floor back up. With that said, I love this machine. Its turned multiple trips into once a day.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Basically this washer should hook up about the same as your old washer. It needs the hot/cold water and the drain. It does not need the vent for the dryer. I just put a cover over mine, even though it has a cover on the outside.
