Yes. I have to make sure that any powder based soap or additive is well within the laundry or it will accumulate in the lip of the rubber seal. I don't know why it won't wash out. The higher end version of the same model comes with turbo wash which I think was added after people complained about the issue with residue.

Please try again later.I had the same prob with liquid..I only have had this washer for two months and water drips down the front..I clean out that rubber seal every load and stuff still gets in there like dog hair..so dissappointed. I need a second set for an addition and I WON'T BUY THIS AGAIN
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not use baking soda for my laundry but I have seen soaps getting stuck in between the door and the machine. I assume it's a design flaw. I usually run another quick rinse and spin feature.
