• You can fill it to the guide up top (there is a grate built in so you can fill up to that point in the washer). If I had to guess, maybe say 20 of my husband's pants could be washed at once. It's huge inside.

• Not sure of the number. I had a nice front loader that my exwife took. And this one seems as big or maybe a little bigger. It's a great washer so far.
