It can easily accommodate two queen-sized sheets & four pillowcases, along with several full sized towels + more. While not the absolute largest washer available, it is quite large. I have yet to run a load at full capacity. Even for all but the largest families, I'd say most would seldom have enough laundry of a particular type to fill it to capacity, unless you are willing to mix light colors with dark.

Generally speaking, a larger capacity unit at 4.5 cubic feet can hold up to 20 pounds of laundry.
