I have been told that GAS dryers cannot be vented out the left side, so I wonder if your current washer/dryer stackable is electric rather than gas. It is a good idea to check into that. (The right side is determined as you are facing the front of the unit,) Stores do allow for returns should the unit not fit or accommodate your space, but I'd want to avoid that hassle.
