Yes it is very normal. If washers use up a lot of water, it can leave a very bad odor on the clothes and that means that we would have to wash it again and waste more water. LG made the washers like that so it can clean better and save a lot of water so that we won’t waste money on our water bill.

This is a high-efficiency washer, and the water levels may be much lower than you expect. This is normal, and cleaning/rinsing performance will not be compromised. The tub is tilted back so there is more in there than you think. We bought this washer because we sold our home with appliances and had awesome results with both the washer and matching dryer.
